Live Life Smiling
Invisable day-to-day living with beautiful results
Invisalign’s portfolio of innovative treatments fixes a large range of teeth straightening issues: from overcrowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, crossbites to overbites and underbites. There are 5 different types of Invisalign treatments, depending on the severity of your teeth.
Invisalign Full
Full treatment for children and adults, straightens teeth with a series of removable virtually invisible aligners. Bites that were treated by conventional braces can be corrected with Invisalign.
Invisalign Lite
For less complex cases such as minor crowding and spacing issues. This is suitable for children and adults whose total aligners would be less than 14 aligners per jaw.
Invisalign i7
An easy and convenient solution, designed specifically for minor tooth movement, i7 works within as little as 3 months. Suitable for children and adults whose alignment can be achieved in 7 or less aligners per jaw.
Invisalign can straighten teeth using a series of nearly invisible aligners that are custom-made to your teeth for comfort. As you replace each aligner every one-two weeks, your teeth will move gradually towards the final projected position as prescribed by us. Unlike fixed braces, you can remove the aligners and put them back in again at any time – so you end up with the straight new smile that transforms your life.
What happens once I have decided to go ahead with an Invisalign treatment?
After visiting us for your orthodontic assessment, you will be invited back into the practice to have initial records. This will consist of an orthodontic xray, external and internal imaging and digital moulds which is a 3D scan for your bespoke Invisalign aligners to be made. Your orthodontist will programme every single tooth movement. You will then be invited back for the fitment appointment approximately 3-4 weeks after. At this visit we can share your ClinCheck (a short 3D animated movie of your predicted treatment) with you.
Will anything be stuck onto my teeth?
Possibly, some patients requires attachments, tooth coloured composite material stuck onto the front surface on the teeth to assist with some movements e.g. tooth rotation. This will be shown to you on your ClinCheck.
Will I need any additional treatment other than my Invisalign checkups?
Possible. When having an Invisalign treatment it is possible you may need interproximal reduction, thinning of the edges of the teeth, to create some space to be able to freely move the teeth. (Take a look at our separate blog on interproximal reduction.)
Do I still need to see my regular dentist?
Yes, it will be important you attend regular check ups.
What happens after my treatment?
After the treatment it is advised you wear retainers. The use of retainers can be reduced but long term wear is advised to maintain your new smile.
